Most people went outside of a building and enjoyed a partial view of a Solar Eclipse. That just wouldn't do for the Wanderlust Side of myself. I HAD to make my way to the total shadow where the eclipse was in full totality. I sure am glad I did. Seeing this was something I could never have imagined. Filming it and capturing this single moment was astonishing. It honestly took my breath away as the Sun was covered and the Earth was hidden by the moon. The Moment happened so quickly but it will forever be remembered. Words can not explain the sight that I saw. The pictures don't come close (ok, well maybe NASA's does). Here is a quick video I made of the wonderful event. This once in a lifetime moment. The Solar Eclipse of 2017 that crossed America.

I ended up waking up at the usual time and going into work until 11AM. The Eclipse was scheduled to begin at 2:35 PM.

11:00 - T-Minus 3 Hours and 35 Minutes before Totality.

I arrived home at 11:36 and changed close really fast to head North to Krispy Kreme (what's an eclipse without an Eclipse Donut?) but was told there was no more Eclipse donuts left. I spoke with the clerk and she stated they had regular "non-hot" eclipse donuts. "2 Please!" And off we went to grab our lunch.

12:03 - T-Minus 2 Hours and 32 Minutes before Totality.

We took off to the first fast-food restaurant we saw (which was a KFC). We decided to make our order to-go and hit the road as fast as possible. All the surrounding food places were packed and unfortunately, this one was too. We waited and waited while reading Colonel Sanders Posters that were plastered all over the walls. We took our bag of food and ran out the door. The worst part about this, the lady forgot to pack us some forks/spoons. But we made do with a lid and our fingers. (We both ordered KFC Famous Bowls.) ** The Bowl later Came in very handy. **

12:34 - T-Minus 2 Hours and 1 Minute before Totality.

On our way down 121 making it as fast as we could to the "sight" we planned on visiting. We flew past traffic but never made it to our destination. We stopped right inside the line of totality. The clouds blocked our view, we needed to move in closer. I was absolutely panicked that we wouldn't make it. We jumped in the car and headed down the road again.

2:29 - T-Minus 6 Minutes before Totality.

We stopped the car and rushed to set the camera up. I did a quick check of the Go Pros and Canon Rebel them looked to the sky as the Sun became blocked by the shadow of the moon. It was absolutely amazing. Something that I will forever remember. Below s the view that the Canon Rebel got. It was beyond amazing.

2:35 - T-Minus 0 Minutes before Totality.
